‘LEAL – Self-build workshop’ is an architectural training course organised by INSTITUTO. In its second edition, the workshop grew out of an awareness of the precarious conditions in Porto’s urban interstices. The course will take place in Bairro do Leal neighbourhood, where the current state of abandonment demonstrates the potential of these areas and their interconnections with the wider context for intervention using self-build methodologies.
