Do you post regularly job offers?

We post every week a batch of around 10 new job offers usually between Tuesday and Thursday.

Would it be possible to post more jobs?

Sure, in the past we used to post around 20+ jobs per week but because of limited resources we can at the moment only assure the minimum of around 10.

Do you post job offers from all around Europe?

Yes, our jobs offers come from all around Europe and neighboring countries.

Why are most of the jobs from north-western Europe?

This is the area where for various reasons we easily find more jobs but we look everywhere as much as possible. If you know an organisation from your area we should have an eye on then recommend it to us.

How can I stay updated about new job posts?

For now this is only possible via our Telegram Channel. (Maybe set up a newsletter?) You can also follow our Instagram and LinkedIn profiles where we also post updates sometimes (we used to update these channels regularly but we are at the moment rethinking how we can keep doing it – we know many of you used these channels).

How do the offers without deadline expire?

If a job offer has no deadline the post expires usually 5 weeks after we have posted it. This also means you should always check the offer on the original employer’s post for updated details.

How do you find the jobs?

Most of the jobs we find ourselves but we also have some organisations uploading them directly on the website.

Are the old post regularly update for updates?

We try to keep these updated as much as possible but sometimes they might escape us.

Can I report an issue with a specific job post?

If you see a mistake or an update we have missed you can easily report this to us from the job post itself. (need to set up a link)

Do the organisations pay something for their vacancies posted on build_shift?

Organisations also can contribute with voluntary payments. So far only one organisation did so.

What do you do with the money collected?

We use them to cover for the running costs of build_shift (website, administrative, personnel )

Is there a way to keep track of the use of money?

We are working on this but so far we can tell you we have received only 4 contributions.

Why are you doing this if you only get so little contributions?

What would you do if you had more means?

Pay a part-time person. Add new features to the website (notifications via email). Post more jobs with more details(paid position check, salary, commitments)
