Build Up’s purpose is to empower young people to shape where they live, and make decision-making in London’s built environment representative of its communities. We do this by running projects that put young people in control of the design and construction of permanent public and community spaces. Our past projects include Build Up Hackney and The Shade.
What we’re looking for
This role would suit someone with practical experience in timber construction, carpentry, gardening or a related field. You have the enthusiasm and patience to support young people, although previous youth work experience is not essential.
The role
Reporting to the Construction Lead, you’ll work with our team to build projects and support our junior staff. When young people are on site, you’ll teach them construction skills and help everyone get the most out of their time with us.
