This project assistant position offers an opportunity to delve into the sustainability of the urban built environment with a focus on increasing circularity in the construction sector. The role is within the Sustainable Building group, which works on enhancing sustainability in construction materials, building products, road infrastructures, and cities.
Responsibilities include retrieving primary data on construction projects, conducting bill of quantities, analyzing results related to circularity potential, and developing prospective scenarios in collaboration with the research group. The successful candidate will also engage with various stakeholders involved in circularity within the construction sector in Gothenburg.
Qualifications for the role include a master’s degree in architectural or civil engineering, industrial ecology, or related fields, as well as analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Expertise in environmental assessment methods and proficiency in Swedish and English are essential. Knowledge of quantity surveying and digital tools like BIM is a plus. The candidate should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong collaborative skills due to the interdisciplinary nature of the project. The position is for one year on a full-time temporary contract with Chalmers.
