In your role as a research engineer, you carry out research work on the environmental impact of buildings in a life cycle perspective together with and under the guidance of other researchers at the department. The work takes place in research projects focusing on life cycle assessment of buildings and buildings’ climate impact. This includes implementation of automation of data input to LCA software, LCA calculations, environmental impact modeling, analysis of LCA calculations and interactive visualization of the results. Other work tasks include carrying out literature reviews, scientific writing and active participation in ongoing development of environmental assessment methodology for buildings. The projects relate well to ongoing policy development in the area. The research work is conducted in collaboration with construction sector actors in Sweden.
