Responsibilities
As Membership and Board Coordinator, you will play an important role in the Brussels office and be a key liaison to our members.
You will:
Be the main point of contact for Eurocities members.
You will be responsible for contacting potential new members
Provide internal coordination of member engagement in the network's activities, keep an overview of this engagement, gather information, approach and follow up with potential members and partners, and ensure that information is recorded and maintained.
You will assume the role of Secretary for the Eurocities Executive Committee by supporting meetings, preparing and distributing agendas and minutes, and assisting the Secretary General with other meeting preparation and follow-up.
You will work closely with the Secretary General and the management team of the Eurocities office in Brussels. In this role you will:
Understand members' needs, develop and implement proposals.
Improve services to members
Improve stakeholder engagement
Attract and retain members
Prepare high-level meetings for members, including the General Assembly
Carry out special projects and other delegated tasks
Support the financial sustainability of the network by working with the Finance Manager on annual billing to members, approval of financial statements, and annual convening of the Audit Committee
Managing the enrollment of new members
Ensuring that the membership database is kept up to date
Profile
You are an experienced professional full of initiative, curious, patient, resilient, creative and flexible.
You have the following skills and experience to successfully fill this position*:
4-5 years of professional experience in stakeholder engagement.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in membership-based associations
Knowledge of cities and urban challenges
Experience with facilitating committee work
Excellent diplomatic and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
full command of the English language
problem-solving approach
solid organizational and planning skills
Experience working independently and as part of a team
Organization and accuracy, ability to meet deadlines

We offer
A full-time position as an employee under Belgian law. The selected candidate must either live in Belgium or be willing to move to Belgium for the duration of the contract (applicants must provide a Belgian address).
A permanent contract starting as soon as possible.
3,200 € - 3,400 € gross monthly salary, depending on profile and experience.
Flexible working hours.
Part-time telecommuting.
