The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) is a centre for research, education, production and outreach, with the mission of envisioning the future habitat of our society and building it in the present.
About the program
The Master program in Advanced Computation for Architecture & Design is a distance learning educational program offered by Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), accredited by University of Lleida (UdL) – European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The program is accredited with 60 ECTS and it’s articulated into 3 modules followed by a Master Thesis:
Module 1 (Advanced Computation for Environmental and Structural Design)
Module 2 (Building Information Modelling and Smart Construction)
Module 3 (Artificial Intelligence in Architecture)
Students are able to choose between Synchronous and Asynchronous format.
As an alternative to the MaCAD full program, students can apply to each module independently to obtain a University Expert diploma, each one accredited with 15 ECTS. Previous knowledge of 3D Modelling, Grasshopper, Rendering and Programming is desirable but in any other case, pre-courses in these softwares are offered, assigned and completed before the beginning of their studies.
The Master in Advanced Computation for Architecture & Design is supported by an international network of practitioners, institutions and companies, creating opportunities for future internship positions and job in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
