Technical University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (Technische Hochschule Augsburg) is with it’s over 7000 students one of the student higher education institutions in Bavaria. They offer a range of educational courses in technical fields, both in German and English.
About the program
Energie Effizienz Design Master’s program combines elements of architecture and environmental planning with those of construction, building physics, indoor climate and technical building equipment as well as life cycle considerations and economics in the early project phases. Digital tools for planning and simulation as well as common evaluation procedures expand the methodology.
The master’s program consists of 90 ECTS in a modular structure. Seminar-style modules are paired with practical project modules for applied learning. Optional modules provide insights into university-wide studies or support individual subject focus. Full-time studies are 3 semesters long (part-time takes 5 semesters to complete) and taught in German. To apply, completed studies worth 210 ECTS must be completed — for students with 180 ECTS completed, an additional module from the Energieeffizientes Planen und Bauen E2D course is offered. There’s a possibility to gain qualifications in specific topics upon completion of the studies, such as DGNB registered professional, Energy efficiency expert, Passive house planner.
