About the program
Students of the Master in Sustainable Cities will learn about energy systems, transport networks, housing provision, urban ecosystems and food. Using applied cases, it is explored how these systems can be transformed to produce better economic, environmental, and social outcomes, equipping the students to pursue careers in city government, consultancy, NGO’s and beyond.
Students progress through a seven-module structure, completing one module at a time. The learning, activities and assessment for each module are completed before the next begins. This way the program allows students to focus on one subject at a time, building into the big picture of urban sustainability by the end of the degree. Modules focus on the very systems that need transforming to create a sustainable city, and provide valuable insight about research skills for urban sustainability. Full-time studies take one year to complete and are worth 180 CAT credits (equivalent to 90 ECTS). The language of instruction is english and student is awarded a MSc degree upon completion of studies.
