We are looking for a qualified Architect with at least two years design and construction experience to become part of our expanding design team in our Bethnal Green studio. You will take the lead in the design and delivery of projects, as well as working within teams on larger schemes, working closely with leading consultant teams for innovative clients. You will be the day-to-day project / package lead, taking responsibility for the role and communicating effectively with your team members and senior management team. As an active contributor to our collaborative studio you will be involved in all aspects of the practice, shaping its continued evolution.
Essential skills/knowledge:
• able to work both independently and in a small team with care and intelligence
• being an excellent designer with good interpersonal skills
• good organisational skills with great attention to detail
• an excellent understanding of construction methods and detailing
• proven communication skills, able to liaise with client, consultant and contractor teams
• able to lead project and practice related research
• to be Mac literate and proficient in Adobe CC – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator – and MS Office 365
• efficient in 2D and 3D drafting – Vectorworks 2D essential, Vectorworks 3D desirable
• thorough knowledge of NBS and writing specifications
• excellent written and spoken English language skills
