Cocoon Architects is actively seeking a passionate and motivated Technologist to contribute to the development of extraordinary, sustainable homes. The Technologist role involves navigating projects through RIBA Stages 4-6, including client interactions for design decisions, technical delivery of tender information, and on-site attendance during construction. Additionally, providing support for projects in RIBA Stages 2-3 is part of the role, with a flexible work arrangement that combines office- and home-based work, primarily from their office in Ely.
The ideal candidate should possess solid technical expertise in construction methods and materials, along with a comprehensive understanding of building regulations, standards, and construction processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial, and the candidate should have experience collaborating with clients, contractors, and industry professionals.
Minimum qualifications/experience include being a Qualified Architectural Technologist with at least 5 years of experience in the technical design of domestic projects, along with proficiency in Revit.
Preferred additional qualifications/experience include 10 years of technical design experience, CIAT registration, and proficiency/experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Enscape.
