We are looking for a talented architectural assistant with exceptional design and presentational skills to become part of our expanding design team in our Bethnal Green studio. You will be developing designs from concept through to completion, producing design information, visualisations and physical models. As a relatively small studio, you will be involved in all aspects of the practice from project delivery to design competitions, design reviews to in-depth research.
Essential skills/knowledge
• able to work both independently and in a small team with care and intelligence
• being an excellent designer with good interpersonal skills
• able to create exceptional and characterful images
• able to create precise and haptic physical models
• good organisational skills with great attention to detail
• to be Mac literate and proficient in Adobe CC – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator – and MS Office 365
• efficient in 2D and 3D drafting – Vectorworks 2D essential, Vectorworks 3D desirable
• a good understanding of construction methods and detailing
• able to liaise with the consultant design team to progress design development
• knowledge of NBS and writing specifications desireable
• excellent written and spoken English language skills
