As our Head of Urban Transformations youā€™ll lead campaigns delivery and development work across Possibleā€™s ā€˜getting aroundā€™ strategic focus area, continuing our groundbreaking work on campaigning for traffic reduction and sustainable transport across the UK.Ā Read the full job pack to find out more about the role.

To make our shortlist youā€™ll need:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the context of urban greening, sustainable transport and policy.Ā 

  • To be an excellent manager, with excellent organisational and time management skills, effective prioritisation skills, and a track record of successful project management, complex multi-year budget management and line management.

  • Experience of getting others to deliver on time – youā€™ll know how to manage a process requiring outputs from colleagues to ensure that delivery happens on time and to high quality, and how to effectively oversee other peopleā€™s work. Youā€™re keen to ensure your team members are well supported in their roles.

  • Ability to devise campaign strategy and new campaign proposals in line with organisational strategic priorities.

  • Good understanding of relevant potential funders, the ability to spot and take opportunities, and write compelling funding proposals.

  • To be a phenomenal communicator and a people-person – youā€™ll have great people and interpersonal skills (both orally and written). Able to work well with the staff team and volunteers and liaise with external stakeholders. A high standard of written and spoken communication skills, and ability to deploy them in public and media settings.

  • To be a keen problem solver – youā€™re positive, proactive, self-motivated and able to use your own initiative to spot issues, opportunities and areas for improvements and then communicate or act on them.

  • An interest in public engagement with climate action and climate justice – you donā€™t need a degree in the topic or be a committed activist, you just need to be able to show an interest and willingness to learn more.

  • A commitment to Possibleā€™s mission, values and anti-oppression work – doing your bit to help create a working environment that is inclusive and allows our team mates, supporters and communities we work with to thrive.

  • The ability to digest, understand and analyse information independently.
