BC materials is seeking an enthusiastic Brick Crafter to participate in a unique production project involving 82,000 bricks for the future façade of the Design Museum of Ghent.

Various waste streams will be used, such as recycled glass and concrete debris, which are mixed and then pressed into bricks. They are looking for a worker who can assist us in the production of these unique DING bricks.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BRICK CRAFTER:

– Mixing the various ingredients using a planetary mixer.
– Pressing bricks with a hydraulic press.
– Palatalizing the bricks.
– Conducting quality control
– Ensuring maintenance and cleanliness in the workplace.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

– Secondary education diploma.
– Forklift driving experience is an asset but not mandatory.

SKILLS AND INTERESTS:

– Communicative and a team player.
– Willingness to learn and execute new skills.
– Committed to ecological transition.
– Handy and willing to perform physical work.
– Has a good sense of organization and order.

WORKPLACE:

The work will take place in a warehouse on the Arsenaal site in Gent.

CONTRACT AND COMPENSATION:

– Start date: April 29, 2024 – End date: July 15, 2024
– Workweek: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.
– Contract: Interim contract, student job, or invoicing as an independent contractor.
– Compensation: €18 per hour gross.
