Malmö University (Swedish: Malmö universitet) is a public university located in Malmö, Sweden. It has exchange agreements with more than 240 partner universities around the world and ca. one third of the students have an international background. Education at Malmö University focuses on, among other things, migration, international relations, political science, sustainability, urban studies, and new media and technology.
About the program
The Master’s program Hållbar stadsutveckling: Ledning och organisering (Sustainable Urban Development: Management & Organisation) is aimed at those who want to work in management of long-term development processes, concrete projects or work as an analyst in the field of sustainable cities. Main focus of this program is urban development management. Students will gain an understanding of current perspectives on sustainable urban development and the trade-offs involved in this while also learning about the management of development processes with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
The program is aimed at people with different academic backgrounds and is adapted so that professionals have the opportunity to attend it. Options include take courses in the afternoon, or study-part time. After completing this one year master degree, students have the option to directly continue with an additional year at the partner university of SLU Alnarp, thus completing a two ears master.
The full-time program at the Malmö University takes two semesters to complete and is worth 60 ECTS.
