The Head of Strategic Communications is an exciting role within an ambitious and unique cultural organisation. At a time of strategic and spatial development for the Irish Architecture Foundation, this role offers an unprecedented opportunity to affect meaningful change in the cultural landscape of Ireland and the public’s engagement with and appreciation of architecture and the built environment.
Working in close collaboration with the Director, the Head of Strategic Communications will develop and deliver a comprehensive and innovative external communications and public engagement strategy that supports the delivery of the Irish Architecture Foundation’s cultural and social programmes, particularly across brand, profile, influencing and public and political engagement with architecture.
In addition, the Head of Strategic Communications will lead transformational change in the IAF, harnessing new ideas and technologies in digital communication to assist in rethinking current programmes, imagining entirely new programmes, expanding audience access, reach and influence and enabling meaningful inclusion of an increasingly diverse audience.
With a key role in fundraising and development, the Head of Strategic Communications will work to advance the understanding of the value of architecture to society, while growing our network of funders and supporters both nationally and internationally.
The IAF has also secured funding for a reimagining of our digital presence and footprint on our website and other platforms, providing the new Head of Strategic Communications with the ways and means to have real and certain impact.
The Head of Strategic Communications role is a creative one, in which the right person can play a key role in helping us imagine the IAF for the remainder of the 21st century, working with the Director and the team not only to communicate what we already do, but to invent and direct what we do next.
