PhD focused on regenerative construction and vulnerable communities

The ETH Zurich research team is seeking a PhD candidate for a project focused on enhancing the resilience of vulnerable communities worldwide against climate change. This position involves collaborating with international institutions across several countries. The PhD candidate will integrate scientific research with community-based participatory approaches to address local environmental challenges and enhance community resilience. Key responsibilities include conducting environmental analysis, identifying regenerative constructive solutions, co-designing solutions with communities, and facilitating knowledge transfer and implementation. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in relevant fields, is fluent in Spanish and English, proficient in modeling and GIS, and shares sustainability values.
