MEESVISSER is an ambitious and research-driven architecture practice working for both private and institutional clients. Our projects range from interiors and private residences, and from medium to large-scale residential and commercial developments. Alongside these, we regularly participate in housing tenders with a strong emphasis on biobased materials and regenerative design. To strengthen our team, we’re looking for a Junior Architect & Researcher to join us.
In this position, you’ll collaborate with our team on various architectural projects and housing tenders, contributing to research on biobased materials, sustainable construction strategies, and their application within the Dutch context. This includes conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to evaluate environmental impacts and inform material choices during design development. You’ll be involved throughout the design and building process, from concept development and research to detailing and construction supervision.
Who We’re Looking For:
• A motivated, independent thinker.
• 0–2 years of experience in architecture and research.
• Affinity for regenerative architecture and knowledge of biobased materials in the Dutch context.
• The ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong social and communication skills.
• Excellent command of Archicad and strong illustration skills.
• Experience performing Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) using OneClick LCA, SimaPro.
• Fluency in English; good knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
