Experimental is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team in Berlin as a Program Manager (60%, 24 hrs/week), earliest possible starting from July 1, 2025. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to innovative and forward-thinking projects at the intersection of design, architecture, and sustainability, within a vibrant international and
cross-disciplinary context. The Program Manager holds a multi-institutional position, working closely with the Fellows and various program partners, while operating at the intersection of academic research and the construction industry. The role is embedded within a collaborative team structure and contributes to the development and implementation of the international Experimental Fellowship Program. Projects within the Fellowship Program are typically led by the Program Manager at Experimental, in close collaboration with the Project Manager at the program’s partner institution. The Co-Managing and Artistic Director of the Experimental Foundation provides supervision, guidance and support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Operational program management
– Active involvement in research, design, planning, documentation, and implementation of fellowship projects
– Mentoring of international fellows and fellow community
– Management of open calls and jury process
– Editorial oversight and content production (text and image)
– Communication and public relations
– Network and partner coordination and maintenance
