KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, is seeking a Doctoral Student in Critical Cartography and Spatial Analysis within its Architecture program. This position will involve using spatial analysis and mapping to reveal hidden groups, species, patterns, or structures in urban spaces. The role focuses on developing theories and practices that enhance understanding of the relationships between architecture, urban design, and societal conditions.

The candidate will work with data collection, spatial analysis, and architectural models to explore how critical morphology can support a sustainable society. This full-time position offers an international research environment with benefits, relocation support, and a monthly salary per KTH’s agreement for doctoral students. Applicants must meet Swedish Higher Education Ordinance requirements for postgraduate study and demonstrate knowledge in architecture or urban environments, mapping, and spatial analysis.
