This PhD aims to co-produce, pilot and evaluate innovations in inclusive community-led Place Plan development, focusing on how participatory action research can elevate long-term quality, equity, and sustainability in urban communities.
Building on established partnerships with Cardiff Council Planning and community-based organisations in Cardiff, the PhD will theorise and propose a framework to guide the live development of inclusive community-led Place Plans, envisioned by Cardiff Council to be adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance for Cardiff’s Local Development Plan.
