C40 Cities is hiring a Regional Coordinator for Europe within the Regions and Mayoral Engagement team, based in Athens, Greece. This role supports C40’s mission to help cities combat the climate crisis by advancing equitable and sustainable solutions.
The Regional Coordinator will collaborate with the Director and Deputy Director for Europe to engage European member cities in C40 activities, manage grant-funded projects, support mayoral engagement, and assist with key events and initiatives. Responsibilities include organizing meetings, drafting briefing materials, coordinating communications, monitoring activities, and facilitating knowledge sharing among cities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with climate policies and urban challenges.
- At least one year of experience in European or city-level climate policy work, preferably in an international setting.
- Fluency in English (other European languages are a plus).
Applicants must have the legal right to work in Greece. The position is full-time, fixed-term until December 31, 2025, with an annual gross salary of €28,940.
