Community Land Trusts (CLTs) reimagine land and housing to offer a proven solution to common challenges we face in achieving a just transition. The European CLT Network launched in 2023, with a vision that CLTs become recognised as a mainstream option for affordable, inclusive and sustainable land use and housing across Europe.
The Research and Development Lead will join a small, ambitious, flexible and supportive Network Secretariat team based in Brussels.
Primary responsibilities will include:
– Lead the ‘Change Market Practice’ objective of the Network’s strategic plan with a focus on: unlocking access to finance for CLTs; catalysing pathways to scale CLTs, including through partnership with the wider real estate sector; deepening CLTs as drivers of a just transition.
– Identify and create opportunities for collaboration and partnership around research, innovation and development objectives.
– Form a Research and Development Advisory group, involving the Network’s membership and external experts.
– Track and evaluate the impact of the CLT movement.
