The position involves co-developing and operating an experimental 3D printing platform within the bioDigital matter lab, focusing on testing principles of agent-based swarm construction. Responsibilities encompass developing and maintaining the operational framework, testing decision-making algorithms, materializing generative algorithms through 3D printing, and assisting in result documentation and publication. Required qualifications include proficiency in English, CAD software usage (preferably Rhino 3D with Python), familiarity with robotics programming and operation, and ability to collaborate and work independently. Additional qualifications sought are experience with 3D printing (especially clay or similar techniques), integration of fabrication, design, and feedback systems, a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, and previous research experience. The contract details entail a 4-month fixed-term position at 100% full-time.
