Two doctoral studentships in housing, climate, energy and justice

The university of Manchester is advertising two innovative, 3.5 year fully-funded PhD studentships on highly topical energy, climate, retrofit and justice issues, both based at The University of Manchester:

1. On ‘Governing Housing Retrofit: The Role of Social Intermediaries’, jointly supervised with Paul Tobin and Faye Wade, and in collaboration with the UK’s Energy Demand Research Centre (EDRC). More information can be found at: https://lnkd.in/dZRFJNHw

2. On ‘The Decarbonisation Divide: Emergent Socio-Spatial Inequalities on the Path to a Low-Carbon Future’, jointly supervised with Rob Bellamy and Sangeetha Gigi Chandrashekeran, in collaboration with the University of Melbourne. More info at: https://lnkd.in/dX8P5XDU

Both studentships are for a January 2025 entry, with a 16th of September 2025 application deadline.
