About the institution

WINGS Professional Studies as a subsidiary company of Wismar University offers part time studies and certified further education for professionals worldwide. The study programmes are offered in the fields of business, technology and design.

About the program

The Master Green Architecture provides tools and the technical knowledge necessary for understanding complex ‘ecological building’ design and addresses topics such as ecosystems, sustainable technical cycles, urban and building ecology, in particular energy saving and building construction, planning, and design aspects.

The Master Green Architecture is conducted part-time and combines self-directed study, campus seminar,s and online lectures in the form of video conferences. The compulsary on-campus seminars will be held over one week each semester. Students who are attending will need to travel to the following locations: Wismar, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Freiburg.

The Master Green Architecture is a four-semester programme undertaken while working and with a total of 90 ECTS. The curriculum has been designed to spend approximately 15 – 20 hours a week studying. After graduating in this programme the students will achieve the internationally accredited degree Master of Science (M.Sc.).

The program emphasizes the human dimension of the built environment, e.g. participatory processes or inclusive designs.

Business & Management

The program addresses how to organize architectural and spatial infrastructures or processes, either for private or public actors.

Materials

The program explores (certain) building materials and/or technical circularity processes.

Digitalisation & Technology

The program emphasizes the technological aspects of the built environment, e.g. BIM, robotics or digitalisation.
