About the institute

The Deggendorf Institute of technology in Pfarkirchen, Germany is an applied science university. It offers many courses in English is one of the most international universities in Germany and as a relatively new institution (established 1994), it expands its activities in the 3 teaching and 13 technology campuses countinuously.

About the program

The Master’s program Healthy and Sustainable Buildings qualifies students in methods and technologies in the fields of healthy and sustainable buildings, combined with applications in various areas of the construction and real estate industries. It acknowledges and broadens students’ existing knowledge from undergraduate courses, such as construction engineering, architecture, technical building equipment, energy-efficient construction or related courses, and professional work experience.

This program is taught in cooperation with the German Green Building Council (DGNB). It focuses on the technical, digital and construction aspects of buildings, the student is awarded a Master of Engineering degree. Studies start in March and it takes 4 semesters to complete the course full-time. The studies are being held in English, with an opportunity to take german language classes. The two-year (full-time) program is worth 120 ECTS.
