About the program

Sustainable building information management program provides knowledge needed to use and manage efficient product realisation processes supported by digital technologies in the built environment sector to create sustainability. This includes modelling, simulation, analysis, optimisation, visualisation, sharing, communicating, organising and managing processes for digitally driven value creation. Graduates from the programme will support businesses and organisations in the built environment sector to integrate the steps in the product and production chain as well as contribute with the expertise needed for companies to remain competitive on both local and global basis.

Eight weeks of internship in a company or another organisation are a part of the studies. This master’s program is worth 120 ECTS and the student is awarded Degree of Master of Science with a major in Built Environment, specialisation in Sustainable Building Information Management.

The program emphasizes the human dimension of the built environment, e.g. participatory processes or inclusive designs.

Business & Management

The program addresses how to organize architectural and spatial infrastructures or processes, either for private or public actors.

Materials

The program explores (certain) building materials and/or technical circularity processes.

Digitalisation & Technology

The program emphasizes the technological aspects of the built environment, e.g. BIM, robotics or digitalisation.
