Tours that matter are looking for a coordinator that will support their vision to create a community of changemakers, by offering positive impact tours in Amsterdam. Their goal is to create a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive city by shaping the urban landscape through their transformative experiences and tours leaving a positive footprint.
The job includes a traineeship to learn about positive impact tourism and social tour design, and then taking on responsibility for the daily operations of the organisation. The main tasks involve creating tour programs and proposals, acquiring new business and coordinating tours . The coordinator role is part-time, with office tasks and involvement in projects during the off-season and supporting the community, partners, and guides during the high season.
Tours that matter see tourism as a tool for change, sharing an interest in social issues and urban transition. Therefore, communication skills and commercial experience are needed. The applicant could take part in their pioneering organization, gain a learning experience in using tourism for change and connect to their inspiring community.
