The Institute is seeking a PhD candidate to lead a project focused on implementing gender-sensitive urban planning practices in the Netherlands. The research aims to understand how gender differences manifest in Dutch urban planning and its impact, exploring planning techniques to enhance the participation of young women and spatial interventions to reclaim their right to the city. The successful candidate will conduct qualitative research, organize workshops, and publish results. The position offers a one-year contract, extendable to four years, with a gross monthly salary ranging from €2,770 to €3,539, along with benefits. Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Human Geography, Spatial Planning, or related fields, proficiency in Dutch and English, and an interest in inclusive and just cities.
