The Global Ecovillage Network of Europe (GEN Europe) is seeking a Communications Manager to join their team. As a freelance contractor or potential employee in Spain or Germany, you will implement and enhance the communications strategy, manage social media and websites, promote the European Ecovillage Gathering, and elevate GEN Europe’s profile.
The role involves working with a collaborative team, attending coordination meetings, and collaborating with various managers. Candidates should align with the organization’s values, be familiar with the European Ecovillage movement, and support diversity.
The position offers flexible working hours, opportunities to visit ecovillages, and a gross monthly remuneration of 1200 EUR. Applicants must have the right to work and travel in the EU.
Responsibilities include executing the communications strategy, managing websites and social media, marketing events, newsletter writing, and volunteer management. Essential skills include excellent written English, copywriting experience, familiarity with WordPress and CiviCRM, and graphic design tools.
Desired skills include knowledge of grassroots movements, experience with non-hierarchical organizing frameworks, proficiency in Spanish or German, video creation, and public speaking. Applications are accepted until January 14, 2024.
